How to Support Hams Radio

How can you Support Ham Radio?
There are many ways you can support Ham radio.
- Donations to Ham Radio Clubs (Many clubs are Non-Profit and you can get a tax deduction from it)
- Donations of Money, Equipment, Services, Resources and more (Make sure you donate to a club, not a single ham. Hams are not supposed to receive donations personally)
- Get Club Repeaters on High towers (Doing this will give hams better communication in the city in case of a disaster)
- Ask you city to let Ham Radio operators setup their antennas where they need them. (During a disaster, nothing beats a system that is already working and on the air.)
- Promote Ham Radio to your Schools, Kids, Friends and family.
- Ask your local media, such as TV, Newspapers, Radio and Public Service to do story's on Ham Radio.
- Help get your city officials interested in knowing and using the Ham radio operators.
- The major thing that will help Hams, remove city ordnances and restrictions. We are non-profit and help the community. Right now, most city's consider us under commercial communications like Cell Phone Towers. They have Millions they can give the city. All we can give is communications to possible save lives. What is that worth?
The list goes on and on. If there were a dollar amount for the things Hams done for the public, it would be in the billions. Please visit the Media link at the top. Watch the videos and get some ideas. If you have some new ideas, please share them with us. We would love to put them here for everyone else to use.
