Dear LaredoHams and Friends of Ham Radio,

I am very pleased to announce that yesterday we held our first Technician License Ham Cram Exam with great results! 10 of 13 examinees passed their Tech test and the 3 that didn't pass were very close and are looking forward to taking their test again after studying a little more. We also had someone take and pass their Extra Class upgrade with 100%. Join me in congratulating all the students on a job well done! Give them a warm welcome and a helping hand as they begin to configure their equipment and participate in local ham nets, meetings and other events.

The cram class was an intensive study session from 8am to 4pm followed immediately by a testing session. Special thanks go to Rick Broussard, N5KJN, for the materials and coaching on how to run the class, to Joe Alejandro, KE5RIW, for arranging the testing location, to Frank Aguilar, N5SSH for coordinating the testing, to Volunteer Examiners Ralph "Art" Hase, AE5JH, and Mario de la Rosa, KF5RM, for making this a success.

There is another Ham Cram Exam scheduled for Saturday, March 22nd, so stay tuned for details.

73 (Best Regards),

Van A. Eash, President LaredoHams Amateur Radio Club
